Hey Kids,Okay, before I talk about anything else I just want to mention ONE MORE THING about the ¿Rosas? Lady... SHE HAS A MYSPACE PAGE!
On this page you can see pics of the ¿Rosas? Lady with many people in West Hollywood, hear her trilling voice, and see her in the clip from Bravo's TV show Workout that I mentioned last week.
Seriously, the woman needs her own show already! Perhaps on Bravo.
Onto other important topics... This coming Friday Steve is flying to Hong Kong to do some work for The Disney Stores. Basically, it's taking too long for them to ship his snowglobes here, have him give notes, have them correct the changes and ship a new version back, etc. So the company is flying him there to get it all done faster. He'll be gone for a week, it's all very exciting, but he won't have a lot of time for have fun anstuff d I can't tag along. He will be taking the camera, though, so he can take photos.
Because of this trip, however, we were busy finishing up lots of freelance work this weekend. But in there we did have a couple reality TV sightings!
Th
e first was Jai Rodriguez from Queer Eye For The Straight Guy who was at my friend's birthday party. I introduced myself because I interviewed The Fab Five for their first article in The Advocate. He was lovely, and SO MUCH YOUNGER looking in real life. I felt old.Anyway, he's out here working on a FOX show for a couple weeks. Not sure of the details and I didn't want to ask because we were all having fun talking about stuff that didn't have to do with show business. But I was with my friend Lisa, who mentioned working on Workout (of the famed ¿Rosas? Lady episode, lest we forget...) and Jai said he had been training at Sky Sport that morning with Jesse. Small world.
Then at dinner, we saw Robert Best from Bravo's Project Runway. Now we didn't talk to Rob because we have mutual friends with him, and we know how difficult it's been for him to go out and just enjoy a meal without a hundred people running up and asking to take a picture with him. Plus, he was wearing manpris (capris pants for men-- which would have been a Word of the Week if I'd been on the ball but I'm not).Oh well. Maybe when Steve's away I'll tap my friends for funny words. More to come this week!
